Recently, Cosgroves Rimington presented the Spring Summer 16 Basler Fashion Show to a full house. Guests enjoyed a beautiful gift in the form of a scarf, fizz, a light lunch, the new collection and style tips by Gerry Verge, Head of Wholesale UK for Basler. The legendary fashion house presented the key trends, themes, colours and fabrics running through the season.
Collections entitled Sydney, Cannes, Marrakesh and Monaco fired everyone’s imagination. Soft, fresh and bright tones were evident for the start of the season, with mint greens, silver greys and whites – colours and pieces you can play about with, which are also trans-seasonal. Comfortable fabrics that travel well and don’t crease are key – none more so than their ubiquitous two piece suit – so wearable.
Soft suede jackets in pale grey matched with the statement printed jeans – a cubist print in off white and grey perfectly paired with the silver Virtue jewellery and silver clutch bag – voila a complete outfit! Pretty blouses with flattering pleated detail and fresh floral print were evident, all of course easy care.
The Deauville collection brought us fresh French nautical inspiration in navy, white, red with a shot of bright baby cornflower blue. Key pieces were the rich navy soft suede shirt which layers so easily, quilted light jackets, baby blue jeans and tunic shaped knitwear.
Come in store and see the full collection.
